User Name & Password aren't passing to Clientexec 3 Years, 4 Months ago
hey i am new to clientexec and the bridge... but i have installed everything and its up a working right now on my server... so i am pleased with the possibilities i am starting to see...

i just have one quick question... when logging in as super administrator into the front end of your joomla site using the bridge module... is anyone else having a problem where the user name and password isn't passing into clientexec when you click on the Clientexec Login under the user menu?

meaning... i click on the link in the user menu and it takes me to the login page of clientexec but doesn't log in... it just shows incorrect username/password...

however, i have verified that the username and password match in the back end of joomla and in clientexec

am i missing some other setting?

currently running joomla 1.5.7
clientexec 3.1.4
clientexecbridge 1RC1

Thanks for any help you guys post!

Do you have mcrypt enabled in PHP?
Does the link work for normal users?
What version PHP are you using?

To test if it is returning your username and password correctly edit

/modules/mod_cebridge/ajax/getDomain.js

between lines 93 and 94 add

alert(xmlHttp3.responseText);

save and login again. This time there will be a popup dialog box. Look for <input type="hidden" name="email" value="email@example.com" /><input type="hidden" name="passed_password" value="password" />

Does the email and password match your clientexec installation? Can you read your password or is it garbled?

Don't forget to remove that line (new line 94) from getDomain.js.

Thanks,
Shannon

So i made the above edits to the JS file and i was able to see the alert... the value for the email address was correct however the value for the password was all garbled....

form name="ceform" method="post" action="http://www.mydomain.com/billing/index.php?fuse=admin&action=Login" target="_blank"><input type="hidden" name="email" value="info@mydomain.com" /><input type="hidden" name="passed_password" value="k4sa88r7" /></form><li><a href="#" class="menulinka" onclick="document.ceform.submit();">ClientExec Login</a><span class="small"></span></li>

What do you think i should do?

here are the answers to the rest the questions you had:

mcrypt is enabled V2.5.7
php version 5.2.6

And i just created a test user and its info did not pass to client exec either..

What are your thoughts?
